If you are interested in IT training to advance or change your career, don't let the cost prevent you from achieving your goals. The Career Training Loan Program SM, offered through SLM Financial Corporation, offers flexible, low-interest loan options designed to help you further your career. Any student who needs money for IT training is eligible to apply, whether you are attending full or part-time.
Low Interest Rates and Fees
Save money with interest rates as low as Prime + 1% and fees starting at 2%. The lower your loan's interest rate, the less your total education will cost, and the more money you can save in the long run. The Career Training Loan SM Program helps you save hundreds of dollars by providing interest rates as low as Prime + 1% and fees as low as 2% to borrowers with excellent credit. The interest rates are typically lower than credit card rates, and are priced so you get the best possible terms based on your credit history.
High Loan Limits
You can borrow a minimum of $1,000 up to the total cost of your education (less financial aid received). That includes the money you need for related costs such as books, fees, a computer, software, and living expenses.
Flexible Repayment Terms
You can take up to 15 years to repay your loan. With SLM Financial's longer repayment terms, you can keep your monthly payments low, making paying for your education easier on your budget. While in school, you may choose to lower your payments even further by making interest-only payments. After completing your training and seeing increased earnings, you can choose to prepay your loan - with no prepayment penalties - to reduce the total cost of your loan.
Exceptional Acceptance Rates
SLM Financial has flexible programs with rates and terms you can afford. Because SLM Financial uses credit-based pricing, you have a greater chance of being approved.
If you have no credit, or a poor credit history, you may still qualify for a loan by applying with a creditworthy co-borrower who is a US citizen or permanent resident. Once you make your first 24 payments on time, and meet the minimum co-borrower release credit requirements, you may apply to release your co-borrowers.
